The company aims to be recognized as a leading specialist in the field of low value feed-stocks conversion into demand driven, high value products that support energy markets world-wide.

SONHOE is a development company and its scope of supply is in the conception, design, development and delivery of large initiatives. It will seek to involve blue chip investors in any new enterprises that are created in order to deliver initiatives. It is not SONHOE’s intent to run operational units.

Situation

• World demand for oil is estimated to soar by over 40% by 2025.
• Europe is facing a shortfall of diesel of 50 million tonnes pa by 2015 - a fifth of its needs.
• Most of the world’s known reserves are low quality oils which are difficult to extract and difficult to process and the world’s refining infrastructure is designed mainly for the higher quality oils.
• Environmental legislation is becoming ever more stringent for sulphur content, emissions and green house gases.
• Renewable energy sources in the form of wind, wave and solar energy are scaling as quickly as possible to offer a credible alternative but the gap is large and the calorific value of hydro-carbon fuels is difficult to substitute.
